The yard
Our welcoming yard has a big car park, with plenty of parking available for liveries’ and visiting trailers and lorries. We have a kitchen area with tea and coffee making facilities and a WC above the barn, in a comfortable room overlooking the school. Outside, there is a concreted wash-down/bathing area, along with all our schooling facilities.
Stables & tack room
Glen Farm has ten 10’ x 14’ stables fitted with rubber mats within in a light, well ventilated, spacious American barn, with a further six boxes that vary in size in external blocks, four in front and two behind the barn.
All boxes have automatic water drinkers, and liveries choose between shavings or straw beds, maintained with the equivalent of two bales per week.
Liveries are allocated space in a large, clean, dry and secure tack room, with generous storage for tack, rugs and equipment.
Grazing & turnout
Horses at Glen Farm are turned out in small, carefully-selected herds to graze, relax and socialise. Our grazing is divided into well-tended paddocks, which are regularly cleared then maintained with rolling and harrowing to ensure as much grazing and turnout is available as possible in all but the worst winter weather and conditions.
Hacking
There’s lots of hacking around Glen Farm, with routes north and west leading to Baybridge, Owslebury and the bridleway network around Marwell, east around the pretty village of Upham and south towards Bishops Waltham and Durley.
